NSPS MEETINGS

** PRINT NIGHT  Wed  March 9/05:  The judge will be Trevor Martin.

** WORKSHOP NIGHT  Wed March 16/05:  Anna Smith will cover fabric art photo transfer techniques.  Please bring 4x6 in. reverse image photocopies of your photographs made in a laser photocopier (available at Staples store)

** DIGITAL NIGHT Wed March 23 (at the Silk Purse):  Digital file evaluation evaluation/judging and a mini review of slide show software. NSPS members: please submit your digital files for judging. Suggestions for digital topics are welcomed.

** FIELD TRIP.   Street Photography. Sat. March 19. 9am.  Meet at 11am First Ave. & Commercial Ave. Leader: Peggy Sloan (tel 604-984-1236) 

** MARCH 5/05 NORTH SHORE CHALLENGE RESULTS:   CLUBS: 1st place  -  North Shore Photographic Society; 2nd place  -  Lion's Gate Camera Club; (tie )3rd place  -  Pacific Digital Photo Club and Victoria Camera Club. Individual: 1st place  -  Carol Fuegi (Pacific Digital Club) for "Evening Glory"; 2nd place  -  Ed Dubois  (Lion's Gate Club) for "Bluebird with Lunch"; 3rd place  -  Helen Woo  (North Shore Club) for "Temptation".  Congratulations to the winners!
　

Regular NSPS meetings are held on the first three Wednesdays of each month at 7.30 pm in St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 2347 Inglewood Avenue, West Vancouver, B.C., Canada and on the forth Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm at the Silk Purse, 570 Argyle Avenue,West Vancouver. BC

OTHER PHOTO EVENTS

** PACIFIC DIGITAL PHOTO CLUB - Meeting   - Tues March 8 
The PDPC (www.pdpc.ca)  meets at 7:30pm at the Port Moody Secondary, 300 Albert St. Port Moody BC. Hank Weverink will present “Faces, Places and Fixes” . Members AV shows.

** INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY  This 2 Evening Course March 10/17 (7-9:30pm) is at the Ferry Building Gallery, 1414 Argyle Ave., West Vancouver. $55. Learn how to buy and use your digital camera and improve and share your digital images. Instructor: David Smith: A few seats are still available. To register 604-925-7270. 

** THE ART OF NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY. Jennifer Friesen (pro photographer - www.tallerthanbob.ca) will be leading a workshop entitled, The Art of Nude Photography at a fully equipped studio at at 304- 1540 West 2nd Street, Vancouver. This is a course designed for the photographer who is interested in adding the dimension of photographing the nude to their existing skills.   A model will be available.
