PHOTO COMPETITION

We are excited to announce that APSNA is going to hold a series of photo competitions for members.  The main purpose of these competitions is to promote members' interest in photography as well as to enable members to exchange their experience and knowledge in photography with fellow photographers, both locally and internationally.

Competitions will be held 4 times a year........in March, June, September and December.

   SECOND CONTEST 

Deadline:    The Second contest will be held in January, 2009. All entries must be submitted and received by the organizer on or before March 15, 2009. Late entries will not be accepted.

Theme:     All photos submitted must be related to "Snow Scenes"

Format:     All photos submitted must be in digital format, file size about 400K at 72 dpi and in JPEG format.

Submission of Photos:    A maximum of 3 photos can be submitted for each member. Please submit your photos to photo@apsna.net for the attention of Mr. Albert TAM. For every photo you submit, please add a Title  to it. You are not allowed to add any artificial material with Photoshop or any other photo software to the photo, however, photo improvement is allowed.

  JUDGING 

Entries will be judged on originality and overall photographic quality by a Judging Panel appointed by the APSNA. The decisions of the Judging Panel shall be final.

  PRIZES 

Prizes will be awarded to the best 5 photos: First, Second, Third and two Honorable Mention prizes. All winners will have a chance to exhibit his or her works at the Society’s Annual Photography Exhibition.

  THE ANNUAL GRAND PRIZE 

To encourage more members to participate, photos submitted in each contest will receive one point each. Winning photos at each contest will receive additional points as follows: First prize will get 5 points, Second prize 4 points, Third prize 3 points and Honorable Mention prize 2 points. These points will be accumulated towards the end of the year and the participant with the highest score will be awarded a Grand Prize.

  RIGHTS OF APSNA 

All entries, however submitted, shall become the property of APSNA and will not be returned. By entering the competition, entrants agree that they thereby consent that all intellectual property rights in such entry will be jointly held by APSNA and the entrant and the entrant will waive their moral rights in relation to the same.
